Kameron Goold

Biography

I am a Senior at the University of Utah, majoring in Astrophysics/Astronomy. After earning a business degree and a decade in a business management career I returned to school to study physics and astronomy. In my career I worked hard to create an inclusive environment and I continue to work towards that goal as our SPS Chapter President. I enjoy the opportunities to connect with my community through physics outreach events our chapter hosts, being able to support local schools, and hopefully encouraging others to pursue an education in physics. I am currently researching the chemical evolution of the Milky Way and hope to publish a paper on the topic this year. I plan on attending graduate school for Astrophysics and pursue a career in research. I love reading to my infant daughter and watching her explore the world around her. In my free time I enjoy reading bad science fiction books, brewing beer, and being in the company of my loved ones.
