SPS Leadership Scholarship
Meredith is a Junior majoring in physics at Brigham Young Universiity, and hopes to continue her studies into graduate school specializing in optics. While she is still considering the field of mechanical engineering, she, like every other narcissistically poetic young physics student, will probably be staying in physics because of her fascination with the astounding beauty and elegance of the universe. This summer, she will be working to set up programs and build demos for the BYU chapter of SPS and the Outreach Team for the fall, along with continuing research and T.A.ing. She will also be working on an undergraduate research grant she received to test her theories about entry level science education using humor essays, a project she started and found to be successful in high school. In addition to physics, Meredith loves piano/vocal composition, personal writing, inventing, her family, ramen, poodles, and talking about herself in third person.
