Looking back on this week has been both very eventful and very uneventful all at the same time. We had a four-day weekend with the 4^th of July falling on a Tuesday. I spent both Saturday and Monday just hanging around the apartment, just relaxing.

As week five came to a close, it was hard to believe that my time in DC was half over. In the beginning, ten weeks seemed like it was plenty of time to explore the city and accomplish all my projects.

This week we had Monday and Tuesday off for the Fourth of July. Most of the weekend was spent relaxing, looking into future graduate schools, and exploring DC. The best part of my long weekend, and probably my favorite day of the summer, was the Fourth of July.

Week 6 entailed adventuring off the concrete roads and step outside the gray jungle. It starting going into an early morning hike at Great Falls on the Virginia side. However, the trail traced takes you on the easiest path throughout the entire hike. There are no bumps or breath-taking views.

This past week consisted of only three actual work days, due to the long-weekend. Not surprisingly, D.C. goes crazy for the Fourth of July. There were beautiful fireworks, immensely large crowds, and lots of fun.
