The beginning of week eight marked the beginning of 'crunch time.' The science jamboree and SPS Goddard tour Kirsten and I were to lead were Thursday, the SPS Intern Symposium was the week after, and the NASA Goddard summer intern poster session was to be the Thursday after that.

As promised this week's post will start with the 4th of July celebrations. I was very lucky and my girlfriend came to visit me for the weekend. We met up with all the interns Friday morning and spent the day with a blanket laid out near the Washington Monument.

This week was not altogether that different from last. I went to events, continued to write memos and draft letters. Overall, there were no complaints. I’m learning my way through the underground tunnels and confusing hallways of the Capitol.
