Grove City College
AIP Mather Policy Intern: US House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology
U.S. House of Representatives
My name is Allen Scheie, and I am a Physics and Philosophy double major at Grove City College. Having just completed my sophomore year, I am still unsure what field in Physics I wish to pursue; but thus far I have been filling my time with nanotechnology research. However, I also have a strong interest in public policy, and am excited to be living and working in DC this summer.
Outside the lab, I am heavily involved with competitive debate, and I thoroughly enjoy a good argument. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and camping, playing the piano, reading, and late-night philosophical discussions. Most of all, I enjoy learning new things, so I’m looking forward to an exciting summer with the other SPS interns.
