I know everyone said that time would fly in this internship, but now I really believe them! Week 3 has come and gone and things are starting to get a lot busier.

My second week has gone well! I have met more with my mentor, Dr. Southard, and also with Dr. Xiang Li, another researcher at Goddard. They took a look at my earlier experiment and made some suggestions to improve it.

Hello! This is Anna, and I’m one of the NASA interns this summer. Briefly, I’m a senior physics major at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. I am very excited and grateful to be part of this program this summer!

I can confidently say that I am going to enjoy my summer with NASA! So far, I have attended several orientations with all types of interns, including both from NASA and from SPS.

The term “week 10” is misleading. It’s taken me just about 2 weeks to put this last blog post together and it’s not even really about my last week.

(And I feel fine!) Sure this summer has been great and all, but I think I’m ready to head home.

In this penultimate post I want to take the time to acknowledge some of the awesome things that came out of this internship!

Ah zero, such a unique number. The perfect balance between positive and negative. What exactly is it though? What does it mean to have zero of something? Does it exist in nature? If we could divide by zero, then we could prove 1 = 2 (an exercise left to the reader).
