SPS Leadership Scholarship
I am a senior at The University of Maryland, College Park, studying Physics and Computer Science. I've been involved in SPS for 4 years now, both at the two-year institution I transferred from, and at UMD. I have served as Secretary, Vice President, and now President of my chapter. SPS has helped turn me into the person I am today, and I want to do all I can to give back to the organization. I love to get involved with physics outreach, and SPS events with my chapter in order to share our love and knowledge of physics. Outside of SPS, I am doing undergraduate research with the UMD branch of the LZ Dark Matter Detector Collaboration, as well as taking training courses to receive my Nuclear Reactor Operator's License. I plan to pursue grad school for nuclear physics, and eventually enter the field of nuclear energy policy and research.
