Brittney Hauke

Biography

I am a senior at Coe College double majoring in Physics and Studio Art. I first got involved with SPS my freshman year when I attended a Zone 9 meeting. Soon after that I was accepted onto the planning committee for the 2016 Physcon. I have also been very active in my local SPS chapter; I've held the secretary position for a year and a half, Vice President for one year, and this year I will be President. Last spring I was also inducted into Sigma Pi Sigma. Outside of SPS, I work on materials science research with glass. I have spent two summers researching at Coe and three weeks at the University of Nottingham, and I am interning at Corning Incorporated the summer of 2016. My goal is to attend graduate school and receive my PhD in Materials Science. When I am not in the lab, you can find me in the ceramics studio throwing pottery.
