Rhodes College
2024
SPS Leadership Scholarship
I am a rising senior at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee double majoring in Physics and Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science.
I have been involved with my local SPS chapter since freshman year, and I am going into my second year as President. I love how SPS fosters such a strong community among physics and non-physics majors alike, and I have enjoyed being able to plan fun events to show off physics to students on our campus!
In addition to SPS, I’m a member of Alpha Omicron Pi and hold a role on the Panhellenic Executive Council, I serve as a student leader with Reformed University Fellowship, and I work as a tutor and lab TA for the Department of Physics. I also enjoy reading, crocheting, playing cards, and occasionally rock climbing in my free time! I have had the opportunity to conduct research with faculty in both theoretical and biomedical physics, as well as present my research at a variety of conferences. This summer (2024), I am an AAPM Undergraduate Fellow working at BC Cancer in Vancouver, Canada, and I hope to attend graduate school to pursue a career in Medical Physics following my graduation from Rhodes. I’m excited for what my senior year holds and look forward to continuing to see our SPS chapter grow!
