Cleveland State University
2019
SPS Leadership Scholarship
I am entering my senior year at Cleveland State University to complete my honors degrees in physics and mathematics. I have enjoyed learning physics and engaging in undergraduate research experiences as a high school student taking part in college coursework. Throughout my time studying I have continued to witness the importance of one's personal connections and advantages of networking. Therefore, I recently took the initiative to connect with a professor in France at the Néel Institute to set
up a research project in superconductivity for this summer. Differing from my experience of polymer research, I am excited to encounter physics in a new country, which will help to determine my future career path. My interests include applying my physics education and mindset toward developing mathematical software, financial tools, and biomedical devices. This winter I will begin the application process for graduate schools so I may continue my education in a physics doctoral program.
