I am currently attending Colorado University at Boulder for my mechanical engineering degree and Colorado Mesa University for my physics degree. I am passionate about my education, and I know that it is the foundation for all of my future goals and aspirations. I plan to continue to graduate school in pursuit of masters and doctorate degrees.
My passion for STEM has been a driving factor in my life and career. I initially developed an interest in physics through the fantastic teachings at Colorado Mesa University where I was introduced to my first undergraduate level physics courses. The enthusiasm and passion for physics that my professors possessed inspired me to pursue this as a career choice. Since that time, my physics degree and SPS have made a tremendous impact on my educational and professional life. I have become a better leader, person, and friend as a direct result of my participation in this field of study.
I have been active with the Society of Physics Students for the past two years serving as an officer during that time in my local SPS chapter where I was the vice president and president. I enjoy the opportunities and camaraderie that SPS offers throughout the year as well as the chance to share the practical application of math, science, and physics during the outreach programs. It is my passion and responsibility to spread the wealth of knowledge that physics possesses to people who have not yet been exposed to this exciting area of science. I have been honored to serve with exceptional members in my local SPS chapter who shared in this devotion and have helped me develop skills that will allow me to better represent my chapter and the field of physics as a whole.
