Thane Goetz

Biography

I am a rising Sophomore majoring in Astrophysics, and a minor of computational physics at Lycoming College. I have been an active member of my SPS chapter since day one as a freshman, and will continue this next year as a webmaster. This summer I plan to spend time working with Dr. Wilson from Lycoming College on a research experience. Being a member has been a incredible experience, and I hope to be able to give back to the community. I am a recipient of the Herb it Forward Scholarship for my continued interest, and commitment to making my community a better place. My current hope for after my undergraduate is to attend graduate school for a Ph.D in High-energy astrophysics. When I am not in college I work as a Junior Engineer designing equipment for a local company. In my free time, I am a avid fan of chess, personal engineering projects, and coding.
